THE LAUGHINGSTOCK STORY

OUR STORY:

The Laughingstock Company was formed in New York City in 1987 by Mr. Scott Eck. Mr. Eck, a well-respected improvisation teacher-performer as well as one of the creators of "Tony N' Tina's Wedding", "Instant Shakespeare", and "Murder DuJour", was completing a six year run on ABC's "All My Children", and was anxious to get back to the excitement of live, improvisational theater.

When the General Electric Company asked him to design and implement entertainment programs for the G.E. Management Training Facility in Crotonville, New York, Mr. Eck enlisted some of New York City's top character and improv actors and The Laughingstock Company was born.

Over two decades later, The Laughingstock Company is still the house entertainment company of General Electric in Crotonville, as well as being the regular entertainment company for such distinguished Conference Centers as Arden House, Tarrytown House, Tappan Hill, The Castle at Tarrytown, Troutbeck Conference Center, The Palisades Conference Center and many others.

Laughingstock has designed Business Theater support modules for such noted programs as Deloitte & Touche's 'Competitive Readiness', Avon's 'Leadership 95', GE's MDC, BMC, AIMC, and EDC Programs, Boeing's 'Executive Program', Pfizer's 'GoalReach', and Information Builders' 'Strategy 2000', and Coldwell Banker's 'March to the Millenium' to name just a few.
