"Dinner With The Roosevelts", or
"An Evening with FDR"Sound a little hokey? Think again. This historical re-creation brings Democratic Presidential Candidate Franklin D. Roosevelt to your formal or semi-formal dinner. The year is 1932, the middle of the great depression, and Roosevelt is serving as Governor of New York. Responding to an invitation by long-time nemesis and staunch Republican Averell Harriman to debate the points of Roosevelt's "New Deal", Roosevelt and wife Eleanor arrive at your cocktail reception, and the fireworks begin almost immediately. Your guests participate in the exchange, peppering Roosevelt with questions about the newly formed SEC, Al Capone, the Rockefellers, and the Works Progress Administration, among others. A freestyle question and answer period after dessert rounds out this very classy and inspiring event. Have another idea for a historical or hysterical night out? Give us a call.
